This douche talks incessantly between songs. I love the music, but I'm completely worn out by the leader's political rantings. "Save the earth!" As if the band's following of potheads and frat boys didn't have enough trouble putting down their Grainbelts, getting off their ratty couches, and navigating "fucking downtown traffic" to arrive at the venue twenty-five minutes late.
The drummer pounds four beats on his sticks and my mind bathes in the sweet sounds. A small bit of my brain is distracted and continues processing the ravings of the lead lunatic. This band is in pirate waters now.

nice! it sounds like you're taking about first avenue? ;) Is "this douche" a fellow concert go-er or the lead singer? At first i though it was someone else in the crowd, but when i re-read it, i thought maybe you were referring to the lead singer.
