Raven Haired Beauty: A Surreal Effect

I met her a week ago.

She made me laugh, she made me smile. These were things that I had not done in while. She brought out a piece of me that I thought was gone. I jumped a fence to swim with her in the wee hours of the morning.

Her voice was intoxicating, it had a lyrical brogue. Her lips were soft and tender, her eyes the bluest of blue. Her body, where does one start with her body.

We both wanted the same things. It was just a surreal day that stood in the way.

Excellent continuation of the "Surreal" series, Prof. I like how there are some subtle rhymes throughout.

I like where the story is going in terms of descriptiveness. The third paragraph really starts painting a picture of "her." Perhaps the second paragraph could be restructured to be entirely about the picture of "I." At that point I might swap the paragraphs, so the "I" becomes a sort of reaction to the "her" description.

Good work. Keep it "surreal!"

I would have loved to expand on the "I" but with only a hundred words I felt that it was more important to describe the "Beauty". Also it is because of the "I" coming first that the third paragraph is fully realized. Otherwise it would have been a beauty from afar rather than a beauty experienced.

As the son of warrior poets I wanted this happy yet sad event to have a rythmic feel. The funniest thing about this is that I had thought the "Surreal" series was over.

I also wanted to say that I really enjoy what you are doing with the Surreal series. Luke had previously been writing in a series as well...hopefully he'll come back at some point.

It's definitely an interesting way to use Scrawlers. Something we honestly didn't think about when putting the site together. Luckily story tagging is flexible enough to help tie the stories together.
